Ed Lees

Director

I am a theatre maker, director, writer, producer and drama teacher originally from Manchester but working in London as an administrator for Something for the Weekend. I am also the co-Artistic Director of Born Witness theatre company and am a part of this year's Almeida Young Company.
I am particularly interested in new writing and verbatim theatre. As part of Born Witness, I am currently working on a new piece of verbatim theatre about Manchester, its people and how we remain different.
I read History at the University of Bristol (2015-2018) and was the Drama Society's New Writing Representative, curating the Tobacco Factory Writing Scheme in 2018.
