I am a theatre maker and musician from rural Wales. Spoken and sung theatre are both very important to me, so an MA in Opera Directing at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama seemed a natural step when training. Here, I developed my passion not just for directing but writing too.

I have since graduated from the college with distinction and was assistant director with British Youth Opera in 2021. In 2021/22, I took part in the Royal Opera House Jette Parker mentoring scheme.

In terms of my own productions, 2021 saw the premiere of my libretto adaptation of 'Coram Boy - Part 1' as a film, and 'The Y Knot', a children's opera by Julia Plaut. I also adapted, directed and edited a lockdown adaptation of 'Julius Caesar'.

Upcoming engagements in 2022: second assistant staff director at Welsh National Opera for Migrations, assistant director at West Green House Opera on L'Elisir d'Amore
