Designer Ecoscenographer

I am a set and costume designer based in London and the North West. I am in my element working in theatre design because it engages with so many of my passions. I love reading a text that introduces me to new concepts, theories and social histories. Exploring new and exciting ways to visually communicate a story really gets my imagination rolling, particularly when finding contemporary parallels with historical texts.

I have recently been involved in devised productions. I find working with actors to develop stories very intriguing, as you never know where it might lead to. Improvisation comes naturally to me, so I feel very much in flow when working with a narrative as it is being adapted.

For a very long time I have been up-cycling clothes and furniture as a hobby. I am trying to introduce this practice into my work as a set and costume designer as much as possible, as well as exploring other ways in which to make my design practice more environmentally friendly. I would particularly love to work with theatre companies who also share this goal.
