Blythe Brett

Performance Designer (she/her)

Blythe trained at the Royal Drawing School and at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She graduated from the BA (Hons) Design for Performance course in 2020, receiving the Lord Williams Memorial Prize for Stage Design.

She creates performance spaces across theatre, dance, opera, installation and live art. Interested in highly collaborative, inventive and challenging work, pushing at the boundaries of what design and visual dramaturgy can achieve in live contact with an audience. Devised and movement-based performance form a great part of her design background, and she is eager to pursue collaborations with experimenting directors and choreographers.

Recent design credits include Project Dictator (New Diorama Theatre), Who Killed My Father (Tron Theatre), The Mother Sh*t (Pleasance Theatre), Ariadne (English Touring Opera) and Murmurations (Tangled Feet).
