Tommo Fowler

I'm a dramaturg for text and production, and a director.

Currently:
New Works Associate, Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse;
Literary Associate, Women's Prize for Playwriting;
Board Member, Dramaturgs' Network.

I was also the Residencies Dramaturg and a Supported Artist at Sheffield Theatres, and co-founder of RoughHewn script-reading and dramaturgy company.

I work a lot with writers on developing new plays, but and collaborate with other directors as a dramaturg for production – especially on non-traditional and/or post-dramatic work.

I'm particularly interested in adaptation and translation, and love plays that are desperately, painfully human – that articulate experiences and ideas in new and unexpected ways.
