Ed Theakston

Director Devisor Performer Clown Producer

I am a director, performer and theatre-maker trained on the BA Acting & Contemporary Theatre course at East 15 Acting School. My work focusses on new writing, devising and clowning. I have worked on development projects for the RSC and Complicité, directors Kirsty Housley, Melanie Lomoff, Freddie Machin and The Alchemist Theatre Company. I completed China Plate’s producer training programme The Optimists, and am an alum of the Soho Theatre Writers’ Lab. I also worked as Theatre and Access Manager at The Bunker Theatre in London Bridge until its closure for redevelopment in March this year, and am passionate about developing accessible practise within theatre.
