Thyrza Abrahams

My name is Thyrza Abrahams, (she/they) and I’m a director and theatremaker. I recently finished working as Assistant Director on Box of Delights at the Royal Shakespeare Company. I trained on the MFA Theatre Directing course at Birkbeck and also on Soho Theatre Writers Lab. My interests range from musicals and storytelling to new writing and reclaiming classics, but always come down to a political and social focus and emphasis. I focus a lot on the relationship with the audience and want to make theatre that entertains as much as it challenges.
