Elizabeth Benbow

Director

I trained and worked professionally as an actor, then went on to study her master degree in Directing at LAMDA, graduating in September 2018.
Since graduating, my focus has been primarily on producing and directing new writing, particularly stories that are deemed by society as 'un-ladylike' and taboo. I am interested in the untold stories about real people.
My most recent work, How We Begin at the King's Head Theatre, was nominated for a Standing Ovation Award (2019-2020) by London Pub Theatres, I also recently produced a play as part of the Dublin Fringe Festival.
I'm is always keen to meet and connect with other artists, and works collaboratively, and I often work closely with a writer in a dramaturgical context, as well as a director, and I am always looking to develop these skills.
"Benbow’s direction was the catalyst to making the piece a seamless and engaging watch". Spy in the Stalls for How We Begin
