Hello, my name is Caitlin (she/they) and I am a writer from and based in Belfast. I like to make work that puts untold and unheard Northern Irish stories at the centre of them. As a plus-size, queer, disabled artist, I am passionate about bringing marginalised stories to the fore and telling them with honesty, compassion and humour.
I have recently finished up six months as a New Playwright with the Lyric Theatre, Belfast developing my new play “Wee Buns” a comedy about fatness and fertility, which had a public reading in October 2021, and I have just finished writing an audio drama for BBC Radio 4 that is due to be broadcast in early 2022. In addition to this I am a current participant on the X-Pollinator Programme by Elevator, which is supported by Screen Ireland, Screen Skills Ireland and the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. The scheme amplifies and supports female and non-binary writing and directing talent in Ireland, and with them I am developing my six-part comedy-drama Chris & Lou.
