Designer and Director Working Relationship

This session will be led by designer Kadija Raza is for both directors and designers and will explore the relationship between these two close collaborators.
The first time working together for a director and designer can be uncertain. Knowing how best to ignite the working relationship, develop ideas, approach the play or material. Kadija will look at how those first conversations might take shape for directors and designers.
The session is specifically aimed at both directors and designers.

Khadija Raza is a performance designer based in London. She studied BA Design for Stage at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She was one of the winners of the Linbury Prize 2017 and won the Stage Debut Award for best designer, 2018.
RTYDS is currently curating the Young Vic Directors Programme. You don’t need to be a member of the Genesis Network to take part in this session, but you do need to be a professional director, designer or producer and not in full time education.
