Open Session: 'A Perfect Storm' - The Power of Production-wide Collaboration
Friday 21st August
6.00 – 8.00pm
Building on the excellent discussions from Whitecard Collective's debut Open Session, they are back again to further explore and discover working relationships in theatre.
This session is directed at graduate and early career practitioners and this time we are opening it up to other roles; Lighting, Sound, AV, Set and Costume designers, Production managers and Directors to explore these working relationships, discussing traditional and innovative roles and approaches to a project.
Using Shakespeare's majestic work 'The Tempest' as a starting point, the session will imagine new ways of working together, appreciating the diverse skill set individual practitioners bring to theatre, building new networks and collaborative possibilities.

Open Session is an initiative for directors, designers or producers on the Genesis Network to run a one-off session, discussion, or initiative.
This is a peer-led session that is not curated by RTYDS or Young Vic.
Whitecard Collective is a self-led group of Graduate and Early Career performance designers. We have come together amidst the Covid-19 crisis to support and uplift one another and aim to raise the profile of developing voices in design, and through this collaboration with the Young Vic hope to nurture future connections which will flourish as life returns to our Theatres and Performance venues.
