How we use your personal information
When you register with the Directors Program your information will be stored so it can be used to build your online profile. We may also take a copy of this information to be used for administrative purposes when you apply for opportunities, attend events and for any future correspondence. Personal information we collect includes includes:
name, address, date of birth, email address, telephone number, area of residence (region in the UK), your photo
We may also collect some data which is listed as as special data on this website and in future correspondance which includes more sensitive information such as:
gender, ethnicity, disabilites, special access or dietary requirements
Giving answers to these questions is entirely optional at the time of sign up. The reason we ask you to provide answers to these questions is because it helps us understand the diversity of our network to ensure we are working towards our goals in diversifying both the people on our network and within our industry. This special data is not available to other members of the Directors Program or the public when viewing or filtering profiles. Some members of the network may disclose other special data in their profiles where appropriate to their work such as political opinions, religiour beliefs, sexual orientation, gender, etc. This is at every member's discretion and is not a requirement as part of building your online profile. Please be aware any of the words used in your network profile is searchable in our filters to other users of the site.
Updating and protecting your personal information
You can update your details online through your account page or notify us at if your personal information changes and/or you wish to correct it at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will try to update, correct or remove your personal information as soon as possible.
Whilst we cannot guarantee the security of the Internet due to the nature of the technology, we do take every precaution possible to protect your information. All personal information we receive is stored on a server in a secure environment. Only employees and approved contractors and developers who need the information to perform specific jobs have access to personal information.
Directors Program Mailing List
When you register for the Directors network will also be signed up to our Directors Program email list. You can remove yourself from this list by replying directly to one of our emails and specifically request you unsubscribe. Please note this may take a number of days to take effect.
